Brooke Andersen, the 2022 World champion in the women's hammer throw, repeated at the USATF Throws Festival with a world-leading performance of 262-2 (79.92m) in the sixth round at Roy P. Drachman Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. Andersen achieved the No. 4 throw in U.S. history and now boasts nine of the top 11 all-time marks by an American competitor. Three of her top five career performances have been achieved at Drachman Stadium, including 79-meter efforts each of the past three years. Andersen and Polish star Anita Wlodarczyk are the only female competitors all-time globally to produce at least five career 79-meter throws.
